Went to 2 different part stores neither one had autolite or champion plugs for this 851. But O'Reilly's said they crossed it to NKG. My problem.....look how long the threaded part is. I had these autolite plugs hanging on the peg board. Number ain't right , but they fit.... Any tips?

Sorry about the double picture

obviously its the wrong plugs. dont put those in. the old chev 6 cyl's used those long reach plugs.

I remember a discussion about 6 months back that the 295 will fit and work but was NOT the correct plug due to the electrode being off a bit making it too cold or too hot. trouble is that they cross the old plug over to this number. which is close but not correct. Maybe someone remember this.

Wish I could see the business end of the H12. How do they look? If they have been in actual loaded work (not started and stopped putting around the yard), they should be a tan color.

The H12 is a mid to hot plug.

Don't use the long ones, you'll never get them out once csrboned up on the threads.
