Charlie Pride passed away

Country music super star Charlie Pride passed away yesterday at the age of 86 and accordingly due to complications of COVID19. I'm sure age had nothing to do with his passing (not). He was one of the great singers of my time. It seems like we've lost a lot of the older really good country singers due to age and the hard life they have to live when on tour. Just wanted to let the fellow YTers know in case you didn't hear. Keith

yes, heard that yesterday afternoon. saw him on tv abut a month ago singing at the country music awards. was looking good.

Country singer Joe Diffie too awhile ago from nnalert and he was only middle age.

Chances are he'd still be here if not for Covid19.

Life on the road can't be all that hard if these guys are living to such ripe old ages. George Jones was pretty hard on himself and he lived to 81. Roy Clark was 85. Willie's 87 and still going strong.
