When I lived up north I had my 11,000 lb 'yard tractor' for that. It was a 1964(?) John Deere 1010 crawler loader that I mounted an old 8 ft heavy manual angle
snow plow blade to the bucket. I plowed my yard, town road intersections with the wood barriers that the town trucks shied away from and neighbors drives. I
plowed close to the barriers because I had a good view and then I could lift the plow to push the snow over the edge barriers so people could see if any traffic
was coming before they pulled out onto the main road. I thought it was fun and the town didn't mind because the loader tracks didn't damage the pavement.

For many years I had a Wheelhorse C-160 with a loader. A good operator could accomplish quite a bit with that. I know, a guy who was a good operator borrowed it a time or three.
Changing to the deck was a pain. It came with a 36 inch deck that was too small. A local repair shop had a C-120 with a bad hydrostat and a bigger deck. I traded him even up. That 120 had a new engine. Eventually I found another machine with a blown motor and combined the two
Good machines for clearing snow in Kansas.
The one my brother had did a fine job in Minnesota.
It's not the size of the machine that counts, it's the skills of the operator.

My Dad and I saw it on the Johnny Carson show and I ordered one. Came in a box about a week later and I put it together one night. It ran good for years. It was really good for plowing snow. I modified the suspension system a little with some bolts and springs so the tracks would take up slack. Went through the original engine and replaced it. Replaced the belts numerous times. The belt drive system reminded me of a miniature machine shop. I had battery start on my second engine and added a .30 cal ammo box for tools. It was a hoot. I had it for about 15 years and sold it to a mechanic where I worked for exactly what I paid for it. He later traded it for a Farmall 300. I did a lot of landscaping with it. It would climb a 45-
degree angle.

I have often wondered if anyone on here had a Mag. I was going to mention mine a couple of times, but figured I would get laughed off the forum. Here are
some pictures of mine. I have done quite a bit of modification in the last couple of years. Re-worked the blade and put a ROPS on it, not for rolling over
but to protect me from dead Ash trees. Ellis
