Those Patio tractors. John Deere thought they had a winner there. Turned out that people in town, some of whom had never seen a farm, wanted the authentic John Deere
Green and yellow. None of that pastel stuff for them. They wanted the real thing.

think a lot of the patio models got repainted to get them sold. The mower deck on my 69 110 was originally white.

A good NOS seat for a JD patio version often times sells for more than a completely restored green version tractor.

One theory I heard was the idea that no matter what color tractors you farmed with you could get a john Deere in the same color and no one else would be the wiser!
