I took a pic of my engine stand the other day,

Went to put some stuff back today and this is what i found when the valve covers fell off! Stupid chipmunks were in here in October, i set a rat trap with a sunflower seed and got them both. My buddy kept telling me they have a stash somewere in here, thats were it was. I did some work on the ramps too, after i picked up the steel.

automatic nut cracker, they are waiting for you to start the engine and crack them nuts so they can have lunch.

I saw then come in and out when to overhead door was open, right while i was working in the garage, then to find the open oil fill hole on the valve covers and use that area for storage!!! i give them credit! 😂

I bought a Oliver 550 that had set a few years and under the dash was full of walnuts.

In my case they went through the lower water inlet because the water hose wasn't on. From there all through the engine including up into one head. Was completely filled with a mixture of dog food and insulation.

Yes, i dont want rats

I bumped into the engine and the valve cover fell off one side, acorns fell all over the floor, they went in thew a hole that big. If you dident ask about engine stands who knows when i would have found those acorns.😂😂😂😂

I had mice move into the block of my SC while I had the radiator off. I thought I smelled mouse when I filled the radiator after I reinstalled it but it didn't sink in till it overheated when I ran it. What a mess. I've flushed the system several times, even took the head off to get it out, but it still wants to overheat so it must still have crap in it. Might have to pull the sleeves to get it all out. GRRRRR! I've been pretty abundant with mouse bait since then.

Several years ago on the workbench in mom’s garage there were these cut off rectangular tin cans dad had got at an auction with assorted nails in them. Mom has picked up some apples fallen from an old neighbors tree and had them in a flat in the garage. She later went out to get them to process but noticed most were missing. I was over by the work bench that is by far organized. Then I saw the issue, apparently a pack rat had got in and was stocking his new nest he was building in the nail cans with these apples. One of the cans had near bridge plank sized spikes mixed in with the apples. There were also an assortment of bolts on the bench and it had moved 3/8 inch bolts 4 plus inches long over to add to its nest. What a mess. The apples in the box are what I took out of the cans in the picture. There was also mixed in there some black walnuts she had drying out there.

Forgot to add what was most amazing to me is the number of trips the darn little critter had to make to move this stuff around. The apples were on the other side of a 3 stall garage. Even just moving the bolts and nails around within the 4 ft circle took a lot of doing. I guess he had plenty of apples and plenty of energy, why not? I did thank the Lord multiple times that the pile of stuff was not under the hood of moms car!
