I prefer the tri rib tires. One 1850 has tri ribs and the other has 4 ribs, the tri ribs turn better in loose soil.

About the highest priced place top buy tires,my tire guy beats almost any internet places for the same brand/size plus he mounts for the cost of the tire and disposes of the old one if I don't want it.

I was asking about Firestone for the front and the dealer said they don’t make them anymore. Wanted 4 rib for front end loader but was getting too expensive with rims and all. Went with the BKT 750x18 and tubes installed for 300.00. If I went with these 4 ribs would have been more than double that

Bkt is a pretty good brand from what I’ve seen I know of several big tractors that have been running them since they first came around and they have had good luck

I have Harvest King tires on one tractor and they have held up well for many years, that tractor mows a lot of CRP ground. I just put a set of Crop Max on another one and they look like good tires so we'll see.

I went away from tri ribs on the bigger horse tractors as they got to slinging off the center ribs,, I agree the tri ribs bite better turning,, but the multi ribs last a whole lot better,, I am talking 90hp and up I did buy a new set of tri ribs for my DC with the Duncan loader as I can air them up and she steers far easier than a multi rib would, in that application, the more ribs the better they "float" in soft ground also just my opinion though

I have stayed with 7.50 X 18 three rib on my 4020 and they seem to do very well. Been able to buy some good used ones, some even on the original JD rims pretty cheap. Can buy new 8 ply Harvest King for $105 each, but haven't had too.

Most would regard Carlisle as being a lower end tire, in spite of where they're made. There are a number of imported brands that are considered superior. If the "made in USA" label is more important to a guy than getting the best tire for the money they are an OK choice, though. I have them on the front of my Farmall 350 and feel the rubber could be a little tougher compound. But, they were available locally off-the-shelf so that's what I bought.

Maybe I should go to 4 ribs on my 3020 loader I could use more flotation that’s the the tractor that needs em it has 7.50 15 on it now and they are to small for loader work

NOT THE CROP MAX. They are not the proper outer size. Bought a 9.5L15 for my tractor it was 3 inchs smaller than the other side. It went bad and the 20 year old Goodyear on the other side was still doing it's job.

Yeah, you need a lot more than 7.50, but you can't get a wide enough tire to do what you want.

A 9.5-15 will squeeze on those rims but you're only increasing the width by about 25%. 25% of nothing is still nothing.

You need a big wide terragator tire to float the front end in the wet and keep it from cutting ruts doing loader work.

I put a set of Crop Max 11L-15's four ribs on my 6610 in Feb and like them so far, they seem to work better for loader use.
The tri ribs I had on were wearing bad and the center rib was cracking.
I'll keep try ribs on the tractors that don't have a loader but ones with a loader will get 4 ribs when it's time for replacements

I've had good luck with Harvest King. Reasonably priced,too.10.00x16 would be my first choice,9.5x15 ,second choice.Definitely 4 rib for a loader.

You could put a 15.5.38 on the under some conditions and not
have enough flotation we’re not trying to float across a peat
bog

I’m not a big fan of truck tires on the front of a tractor the give
good flotation but no traction at all for turning
