KATS tank heaters

I have a couple of the 1500W models. I really like them. I have one on my coldest -blooded tractor. For the second time in the last month or two it has "turned off" after about 70 minutes of operation. Do these have a thermostat in them that turns them off after they get so hot? If so, thats fine. If not, mine may be going and I would like to get a new one installed before it gets really cold.

They do have a thermostat I think mine gets hot enough at 20 below zero the temperature gauge on the tractor will register between cold and normal

Mine on my small Kubota has a thermostat. With the tractor in an unheated barn and a heavy quilt over the engine compartment, it keeps the tractor around 100* to 120* and uses very little electricity to maintain.

Yes. The thermostat controls how hot it can get and when it reaches that temperature it shuts off, but when the temperature drops enough it should come back on.
