Got the loader ready to mount

Getting a little smarter in my old age used my harbor freight hoist to hold the mounts while I started the Bolts

I think we get smarter with age. as a kid you have just wrestled with it. Now you need another loader to mount that one on tractor. Been there

Holes for the loader mounts had to use the same holes for the fenders somebody didn’t put long enough hoses on the loader so I’ll take the 4020 out and use it to roll the loader up on the other tractor

Time to clean the 4020 up get some new Tin and make it great again I originally had 1/2 inch bolts in the front supports off on the f11 they both broke not at the same time which dented up both front panels and ruined the name plates on each side not sure if I’ll put it back on again but I may this quick atach du al is a lot nicer

Good, you have to work smarter, not harder! That video i sent you of my haybine, i used a small floor jack to bolt the weights back on to the pitman arm, there not real heavy, but laying on your back, trying to hold the bottom weight, drop the bolt threw from the top and screw the nut on from the bottom? The jack made it easier. Not having quick tach loader sucks dosent it? Why can’t you leave the loader on year round? I know the loader on the tractor is sometimes a pita.

It’s nice to take the loader off and not have to look around it all the time . The nice thing about this loader is being able to get on and off the front of the tractor

On off the front, not sure what you mean? The side? I get on the tractor we used to have and my small loader tractor between the upright loader mast and rear tire, maybe thats what you mean.

Got it, i see what you mean now, just like my farmall H, or my old friends Case 400, hate to say it, no offense,, but that sucks, i hated climbing up the back!

Crawling over the back is not fun that’s for sure I always hated it and it’s worse when you have something on the 3 point

That's a self-mounting loader. You hook up the hydraulics, drive forward, and "lower" the loader on to the tractor. Just like our IH 2350 Mount-o-Matic. We've had it on and off the tractor hundreds of times over the years...

No need for another loader tractor to mount, or dismount, it.

This came off a 4020 so I've emptied as much of the old fluid as best I could without taking the cylinders off. Got about two gallons out and it's almost ready to refill. Should I disconnect the lines and fill the cylinders and lines before I start it? Or is it OK to just run them out and back till the air works out?

I know it is but the hoses aren’t long enough to reach the back
of the tractor so I had to use another one . And with the
bucket off it wouldn’t roll far enough with the cylinders
retracted to go on . I can’t wait I’ll be able to put it on or off in
just a minute

Just connect hoses to tractor hyd's & cycle cylinder rods in/out to purge air from cylinders/hoses. That the way I did it when I installed new loaders. If loader has ind control valve be sure it's set up for correct type of hyd's(open or closed center) for your tractor.

Thanks Jim. PO put a Prince valve on it and was closed center. I cut the end of the plug off to make it open center but I'm not using the third hose return for now.
See how it works that way, I can always change it.

I have thought a lot about getting rid of the brace to the rear axle on this loader and extending the front mount some .

Had to replace about 500$ worth of hoses today but with the price of a pail of hydraulic oil it is better to just get the hoses replaced before They blow

There’s so many around I don’t think I’ll ever run out of them I
use them for standing on and to haul fuel
