I just purchased a 86 MF 3545 MFWD tractor. I am looking for a front end loader for it and can not afford a new on. What loaders will fit this tractor. I know the MF 256 but I Cant find a used one. How interchangeable are they from say a IH to a MF? im on new ground here. I found a Woods 355 that fits a IH 5088 at a great price, just do not know if it can be adapted. Any help would be great

Not at all familiar with your tractor.A lot of loaders are 'universal fit'. Some can be made to fit useing some ingenuity .Cousin
looked for two years for a loader for his 1085 Massey as there was nothing out there used that would fit. Finally was ready to to
buy new when he stumbled onto a practicly new loader on a 'junk' tractor.Anyway, he bought the whole outfit. He had it delivered to
my place,Had me hepl swap tractors. Then he left the old 'junker'(acctually,it really wasn't 'junk') with me to sell.Several months
later a man stopped in looking for a tractor.Showed it to hom, told him the story.Said he would take it,but wanted to trade an 8N
Ford in on ot. Said "I cant, this Massey doesnt belong to me".So,long story short,A 'three way' trade ensued. I wound up with a nice
8N with a rebuit motor for $500.Still have the Ford.

Like Steve said tractor manufacturers rarely if ever built loaders. most have been added by dealers who buy them through the manufacturers so that they get a kit including everything needed for mounting. You can get a loader that came from many different makes and models and mount it on your 3545. Just take the measurements with you when you go to look at it. When you get one that is wide enough, put it up on blocks and just fill in the gap between the tractor and loader frame with heavy steel. I sold a loader from a Ford 960 row crop that got put on a Ford 600 utility, and one that came on a Ford 961 that got mounted onto an Oliver 1550. I looked at a used 3545 years ago and came close to buying it but then I was told that they tended to have electronics problems so I passed.

Westendorf is a popular loader here in Iowa that fits a variety of tractors. You can go to their webpage and enter your year/make/model and it will tell you which loaders will fit. For example a TA-46. Then you search for a used TA-46 with Massey brackets. There are 4 used TA-46's on Tractorhouse for sale today. If you find a deal on a used one but the brackets are wrong, you can check with Westnedorf on getting just the bracket kit. Or rework the brackets yourself. Important part is you'll know the loader itself should fit the tractor once the brackets are sorted out. Other manufacturers probably have the same website feature to widen your search.

I took a loader from a Case 350 track loader and modified it to fit on my 1960 Case 930 tractor. I can be done with a torch and a welder.

Knowing how to weld is a good thing. I 'married' a JD #36 and a JD#46A loader(long story, dont ask). them made it into afront mount
'quick tach' that can be mounted/dismounted in less than 5 min each way.Just like those 'store bought' loaders.Loader has it's own stands.fits a Super M Farmall.Run with
tractor hydralics. The loader has it's own 2 spool valve. Plugs into a remote, lock the handle back/valve open. Operate loader.Only
'issue' is the Super only has about 1250 psi. More pressure would be handy at times.yes,I used a lot of rod and gas. Used a fair omount of iron pile 'inventory',and a lot of time. But it was well worth it in the end.Always wanted a 'quiktach' loader for my good Super but could never afford one,so I made my own.am well satisfied with the end result.Next thing is to add power steering! LOL

Welcome to YT
Does your handle indicate you reside in Texas? If so where?

Yes I'm a East Texas Boy. Got a load mounted up to the tractor and ran the hydraulics from the rear remotes but do not like this set up. I cannot find the power beyond port on the tractor (not sure if there is one) the internet is not much help at all any one on here have any ideals. I would like to mount a joystick control in the cab like i have done in the past on Jonh Deers. Just do not know a lot about the hydraulics on this tractor. With this said I have really enjoyed bringing this old tractor back to life.

Massey Ferguson tractors had a hyd system that to me was different than other farm tractors. I can be of no assistance in attaching FEL control valve to MF tractor hyd's. I suggest for you to post your question on the MF forum on this site.

As Tx Jim posted you might try posting this on the MF forum.

Do you have the Massey Ferguson service manual for your tractor? It might have the info on tapping into the hydraulic system. Have you tried asking your dealer's service department?

A loader off of that series Massey (3505/3525/3545) is what would fit it with no modifications.

IH to MF? Not even close. You would have to do a lot of reworking to make it work. Biggest issues are the frame rail width is different and none of the holes line up.

(quoted from post at 10:11:27 01/27/22) There is a MF 3505 on Equipment facts right now with a "948" Massey loader on it.

A bit easy to miss, but his last post (1/26/22) said he has a loader mounted but is using the remotes to run the loader. He wants to change that to using a loader valve but doesn't know where to tie in for supply and return to connect a loader valve.

If the OEM Massey Ferguson manual doesn't give any info, I would suggest talking with the service department of your dealer. They should have access to info for mounting and installing additional hydraulic valves on those tractors.
