Rims and tires

I have been searching for a good set of used 10 bolt duals without any luck thus far on the east coast. Trying to find a set that a 14.9 x 46 or 380-90-46 tires will work on. Does anyone know of any place that might would have such ? Thanks.

Can you find any 46" rims at all? Maybe have to narrow some if you could find them? I'd think if it came to that new rims might be in order. Where have you looked?

We currently have 20.8 x 38s on it. We have since gone to 30 inch rows and this combination is too wide. Was wanting something narrower and taller since this is the planting and spraying tractor. I have checked with Worthington and all other local parts yards and no joy yet. New ones are pricey is reason for looking a good used set.

I switched my 1066 from 18's to 14.9 46s and band duals. I got mine at NTS tire in western Mn. they just shipped them to me. They are step up rims on inside. They will go through more mud than 18.4 and duals. I have no fluid or weights.

18.4x46 are popular here for row crop, 30" work. But I agree with you, I would prefer narrower. When I have looked for used parts in the past, businesses were good enough to refer me to other places which might have a better chance of having what I needed.

Have you talked to Wengers? McFaddens? K&J Surplus?

Thanks muleman for the NTS lead. Will check with them. Bob where are these places you listed located at so maybe I can make contact with them also ? If it wasn't for planting on a bedded row I probably would go with an 18.4 but as is it's so wide it's either destroying the row or trying to climb out of it.

You said east coast. That's a big area! That's why I asked where you had looked. I'm in central NY, where K&J is. They specialize in combine parts, but may know where to look. McFaddens is east central NY. Wengers is in PA. When Wengers didn't have a hyd filter housing for my backhoe, they got it out of Texas.

Thank you Bob. I'm located in Eastern NC. Have checked with Worthington and all the other family salvage yards nearby. Thought we had a set coming with the main wheels but the deal fell through. Will check with these places. Didn't know of any other places to try. Thank you for all the help.

You might call these guys. I do live 20 miles from one of there plants, but I bought a blank wheel for my Super C(no center)a few years ago for $30.00. It never hurts to ask.
