I posted on this subject before and My son and I have concluded the lock-up is in the charlynn motor -- My question is what can go wrong inside that thing -- One other thing is could it be low on pressure from the pump -- what is happening is the steering locks-up after a turn in either direction . I can turn to lock-up point, shut the tractor off and it steers like a M without power steering any thoughts out there? Roy

My 180 Massey does the same thing. Can't wait to see what the experts say to you.
My char-lynn leaks some oil out the back seal.

MF180 can also jam up if the needle
bearings are bad in the steering column.
Replaced ours with brass bushing and
grease fittings.
