I sold my V Ripper that I cut down from 9 shanks to 5. One guy looked at it but only wanted 1 shank to run next to the timber around his fields. I told him I had enough leftovers that I could build him a 1 shank ripper. I finished it and took it to the neighbors to try it out. Worked good, I could hear roots popping as I pulled it, one must have been big cause I felt the tractor pull down just a bit. I was running about 22”deep at 6 mph. He will pick it up this week.

1850’s and Massey used Perkins 354 engines. Motor was shot when I bought it, had a MF 750 for parts, so I switched motors. 750 had a turbocharger. Wasn’t happy with air cleaner setup, so I adapted combine air cleaner to work. I’ll try to remember to take some closeup pictures and post for ya. Chris

Wish I could find a single shank to make one, but everyone wants to sell me a whole unit. Don’t see them at the parts yard either. A one point would be about right for my 35 hp.
