End of the project today I’m glad it’s over with. Had to pull start myself worked pretty good kinda tough crawling up on in 6th gear and with the big tires but I managed . My stupid 450$ made in Canada starter gave up the ghost so ordered a new gear reduction tonight I’ve had excellent luck with the one on my 3020. Finally got smart and put some hooks on the chains that drag my float so i can raise it up instead of taking it off for transport

That roller does an amazing job i am pretty happy with it . As far as i know thats it for this year.

See if I'm correct. You pulled started your tractor by your self. It started, you jumped out of the truck, then climbed up on the tractor. Stan

I like that roller. I roll many of my fields as well. We have a Deere F925 roller harrow that we pull a Brillion cultipacker behind. Today I will roll the rye I notilled yesterday. Tom

SV .... I must have missed something earlier about your starter. Actually MADE IN CANADA .... like brand new and not rebuilt? That surprises me. Is there a brand on the starter as to who made it?

Yeah that shocks me since we have so little manufacturing, I wonder if some unscrupulous person has put a made in Canada sticker on a Chinese starter.

Yes need more details on alone pull start please, does the truck have a manual transmission and keeps going or cruise control? Lucky to have hills in wisconsin to roll down.

I just put the tractor in 6th gear 7th works better but I thought that would be pretty tough to crawl on . Then i put the truck in first Four-wheel low and pulled it about 5 feet and it was running put the truck in nuetral let the tractor push the truck and crawled up on the tractor

That blows me away, branches across the country, one in next door Edmonton, Alberta. Even old 6V generators, likely rebuilt of course, never heard of them.

For 450$ it should at least outlast the made in china 150$
starter on the other tractor that came with the tractor and who
knows how old it actually is pretty disappointing actually. I was
pretty impressed that it was made canada

I never had heard of them until 2 years ago was pretty happy to support Canada but the starter never has been quite right from day one should have returned it . I am going to see if i can make this one work again and keep it around for a spare

Barney may not like that! 😂😂, can you have the starter rebuilt?

Bought one from the Ford, nh dealer for my 1720 Ford less than two years later it went bad took it apart the inside was plastic gears, I was ticked, ford said it was china starter save me money! Went to tractor salvage yard and got a used one for $125, vs $175 for china crap.
