Castings: Where can I get small parts Casted?

Greeting,

I have a few small parts I need casted but I do not know where to go to get them made. I am located in South East, Michigan. Got any sources?

What is the material to be cast?

YT has a member of these forums that does high end castings in west Michigan, Montague.
I bet he would know who to go to.

Most of the parts are cast iron. I can provide CAD in solidworks or onshape, and I have access to a CNC router and mill so I can make a pattern. Parts are way under 6x6x6 in size.

You could cast them yourself with a clay form then just use a torch to melt the cast to pour in the mold. Then the machining is what you want it to have for attachment. Yes it is a bit more complicated than that. Would also make a lot of difference what is being casted like aluminum would be about that easy or lead. Cast iron would be a bit more involved. The clay form would still work though if baked.

Clever Billy, clever ..... I like the joke !!!! Also glad to see you're staying home and not trying to nudge Joe's bus into the ditch ..... ha! God, what a mess that is.

Yeah,, I though it was funny on the bus story......

but some yeawho slowed the bus down to 20 mph on the interstate..... now that was a bit too much and probably scare the crapola out of the occupants. As to the escort to Austin, now that was first class.

yes.. welcome to Texas where we do everything bigger... especially the stupid stuff...

Anderson Industries. Kory Anderson built the Case 150 hp Road Locomotive from scratch. He has his own foundry and makes many tractor parts for other guys.

American Foundrymans Society has a branch at my local University (Kent State University) and they will cast for outsiders.
