This is an early 1970's John deere 820 tractor.
I am trying to find the upper steering shaft seal.
OEM seal type is a flat lip seal approx,1/4 inch wide located in the upper steering shaft support housing --- inside the housing right above the steering shaft bushing.
John deere parts dept here in Chambersburg Pa shows no such seal.
The only seal they can provide is what I would call a dust seal located outside the support housing right below the steering wheel.
Does anyone know where I can obtain the OEM oil seal for this OLD tractor ?
The seal I need is shown in the photo as the black ring right below the spanner wrench offset.
