Hydraulic fluid

What's your preferred method of disposing of used hydraulic fluid?
I know it can't be combined with motor oil for recycling. What's your solution?
Thanks!

What you need is some leaking seals. I never change the fluid on mine, just add about a gallon every time I use the tractor.

why not? or else let someone with oil heating have it. guy at work collects all used oil , motor , hyd., and gear oil all mixed together and
burns it in his home heating system.

We just put it into the waste oil tank. Oil is oil and the waste oil guy doesn't care what it is. That being said we don't cheat and put anti-freeze and other junk in that tank.

I have to laugh about that, you can shoot first then ask questions, but big trouble for burning a tire! Lol

Tire burning has been on the books for more then 40 years. Castle law only a few years. It is also illegal to let bull thistle to grow on your land

This is the first I've heard it can't be mixed with motor oil and recycled. I dump mine in right along with the engine oil where I
take my recycled oil.

By law your suppose to go out and cut it down before it can go to seed. Granted it is an old law and not enforced due to not having the man power to do so. I do my best to keep te stuff cut before it can go to seed but that doesn't help much when you have neighbors who let it go to seed

Best way to eradicate bull thistle is to uproot it when blooming. Get those roots and it will not grow back. We had zero this year.

If you ever used a burn barrel you have
noticed that your bag of trash from your
house draws moisture inside if it sets a
day or so I use the oil to get the trash
burning better I usually mix a small
amount of gas in with the oil to make it
burn better
