Allis Chalmers mower help

Hello, I posted last week about a WC mower that I had purchased. Snow has melted so I was able to get some pictures of mower and the tractor it was
supposedly on originally. Sounds like with some help from Jim on here that I may be missing the drive part of the mower? Have a chance to purchase
the operators manual for the mower if I can determine what I have. Thanks, Mike

Definitely a "WC" mower. The shape of the main frame and the handwheel for tilting are dead giveaways.
The driven pulley and it's guard at the end of the drive tube look to be really "mangled" in the picture.

Guard is pretty beat up, pulley is missing. Do you know if belt drive was an option vs chain drive off of the pto shaft? Thanks, Mike

Thanks for the pics Rich, nice looking WC and mower. Looks like what I have, if there is any chance you could get a close up pic of the mower pulley
that would be great, I think that and the belt are all that I am missing at this point. Thanks, Mike

I have it tucked away in the shed for winter, but went out this morning and was able to get these. Hope they are of use to you.
I also included some showing how it's mounted on the tractor. I assume you got those brackets off the other tractor.

A-C used a bunch of systems to deliver power to these mowers.
In the beginning there was a drive shaft with two u-joints going from PTO housing to the mower. There were 3 or 4 versions of that setup. Then, they went to a setup with chain and sprockets and a ratchet type slip-clutch. Finally, they settled on the belt and pulley system as used on your machine.

Thanks for the explanation on the various drive set ups, that helps me understand what I am looking for. Thanks again, Mike

Thank you for getting the pictures for me, that will be a big help. Yes I was able to get the mounting brackets off of the tractor. I had already bid on the
mower in an online auction before I realized the brackets I was going to need were one the tractor being sold as a separate lot, cost me a lot more for
the tractor to get the brackets than I payed for the mower, ha, ha. I think I am now looking for the smaller pulley on the mower and the drive belt to
have the complete mower. Thanks again, Mike
