case 600 sires tractor (611-B)

When adding to the three point system what type of oil do I use in it. A 1958 case 611-B tractor. Do I use a gear oil Or is it a Hydrostatic transmission oil. can any body tell me because I do not have a shop Manuel to go from for the right spec's. Thanks Brent

i would say any standard hyd. oil.68 vis for summer, 32 vis for winter. it dont need to be hytran. plus you should be able to dip it to see whats in there. not going to be gear oil for hydraulics.

The oil in the torque tube uses any good hyd oil, 10wt/atf was both fine when it was new and still is today also, but if you have a remote on it and have other units using hyd oil use the same oil as they do so not to cross contaminate oils,, you have a Case-O-Matic transmission not hydrostatic,, I recommend atf or cih "hy-tran" the later is all I use in all of my fleet,, but some think its too costly to use,, in this app atf works fine,, and yes I have several 600B and a many other COM units
