The headlights on 2000 F150 won,t shut off. Have to disconnect battery to shut off. Went on line a Ford problem.
Online suggests the Day Time Running Lights module could be the problem. WHERE IS THIS MODULE LOCATED. Any other ideas out there.

According to a website I found, your truck doesn't have a daylight running light module. Instead it has a relay block in the dash behind the glove box and a resistor module in the front of the truck. Your resistor module is most likely fine so look for the relay module.

I don’t know this for sure but on my 2000 f350 I was having all kinds of electrical gremlins on things to do with the column, wipers, blinkers, lights etc.

There is a relay or module up inder the radio / cup holder in dash. Multi use module or something.

Anyway I dug it out, changed it and problems went away.

Good luck.

The root problem is the windshield is leaking water. I have seen everything from the GEM module full of water cause this, to corrosion in the headlight switch.
