White 2-135 high pitched noise

I have a series 3 white 2-135 that is making a noise. I just started chisel plowing with it this past week with a 3pt case chisel plow. The first couple of passes everything was fine. After that when I would hit a spot where it pull hard the tractor started making a higher pitched squealing or whine noise that almost sounds like when you barely engage a hydraulic lever and slowly lower an implement. The noise stops when you take load off the tractor like at the end of a pass when you raise the implement out of the ground to turn around. I was thinking it may have something to do with the draft control, the lever beside the seat for it is froze up cant get it to go up and down. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions of what it could be?

Thanks in advance

Have you got a pull type implement that will put about the same load on the tractor? If so, try that and see if the noise will go away.

I suspect the turbo too. First check the hose between the turbo and intake manifold. You might get lucky and find a leak involving that hose. If the hose hos good it could be the turbo is on the way out.

I have a 2-135 series III also. Mine started to make that same sound and I also noticed the three point would lower its self when shut off. I also noticed if I used three point tools I had to have my rpms up to raise things. I pulled the three point out to find a hairline crack in the cylinder under the 3pnt cover. Al

Unfortunately no and I dont know anyone with a pull type chisel plow or moldboard plow. I had thought the same thing if I could find something pull type to see if it was the 3pt or the tractor.

Thanks everyone you guys have given me a few places to look. Once I get a day off work I'll start checking things
