Could be a picture from 1950 something, except it does not have the kodachrome "tint".

Looks like the "Easy-Start" option for the green one. Just have it in gear, let it roll and engage the clutch. No need to hand spin the flywheel.

I noticed that the barn had a "hex" sign on it above the door. Although those signs have broad-scale usage, they always make me think of Pennsylvania Dutch.

Got the old girl parked on the barn hill for an easy start. Saw a lot of that around here (central Siberia) in the late 50s. That was before rock and roll and a lot of other things.
