Hooked the tire roller up and it does a nice job it really firms up the seedbed

Always like seeing the ways we do things different in different areas,, the soil there looks like it is working up nice,, the packer doing its job nicely I can understand some what the use of it with the lighter looking soil,, I have a few hours yet I need to spend discing up a couple certain fields, I use a disc sparingly here, and especially this time of year as it will make the soil blow over the winter in some of my lighter ground,,

This field has so many bowls and brush i dont think it’ll ever blow we sure could use a drink though

Thats a nice outfit you have there. I don’t like to use the disk to much because it creates so much compaction but on fields where they won’t be farmed for another 20 years or more its not a big deal

I used to think like that... but after running the 750 drill we had with a 4020, that was much more soothing than tillage. I now have a 15 foot, and it usually goes on a biiger tractor like a 4450. But I did seed some covers after wheat this August with my '64 4020. It was a pretty sweet ride :)
