2020.10.04 Tractor Pic

A David Brown 850 tractor witch went to Canada and sold as a Oliver 500 then came
back to the UK and spoilt with a bad paint job. The photo is at the Lincoln steam
rally here in the UK and they useually get over 300 tractors enterd and I do the
ring commentry for them. Thank goodness not all the tractors go round the ring but
it still takes me about 4 hours. MJ.

You call thus a bad paint job? To me tractor is just not dirty enough.

Other than the black starter and genny the paint looks good from here. That doesn't mean that it doesn't have lots of brush marks and runs that are visible up close.

I'll also add that it is a "2nd generation" 500. The 6 and 8 lug wheels and brake pedals are the obvious clues. Of the "2nd generation units though it is an early one by the forged front axle. Later ones had a fabricated front axle as used on the next size larger DB.
