IH Elecrall

It looked like a good idea for stand by power, during power failures. You could still pump water and milk cows with that rig. And I always thought it was a unique way to overcome the lack of independent pto on the tractor, while powering equipment like a square baler. Naturally you had to also own a electricity driven baler and not a pto baler, and only this particular tractor or one so equipped could run the baler. A slick idea just the same

Here's one I saw on a H up in Marlette, Mi

An old friend - a coal mine electrician now deceased - gave me a big generator that resembles the one in the picture. I've never hooked it up to anything. I think the tag says that it will generate 1500 watts at 120 volts. My granddaughter has her great grandfather's H International. I've always thought it would look good mounted on her tractor.

It would not overcome the lack of independent PTO on a transmission-driven PTO as the same clutch that powers the belt pulley (and the generator as on this "H") also powers the square baler even if that is an electrically powered baler.
