Funny appearences

Only problem was me not seeing full grown chickens, when I first opened that ad, instead of chicks. Not much meat on those in the picture.
It has been 70 years since I had to feed any chickens.

Think you fellas don't understand 'chicken language',meat chickens, layers, dual breeds, etc are terms to group different breeds of chickens.Like dairy and beef cattle if you saw and an ad for dairy cattle that was a young calf would you think you could bring it home an milk it?

Those are cornish cross chicks, they will be fully grown in 6 to 8 weeks and ready to go to the processor. Same type of bird you eat from the grocery store. The ad is written for someone whom is already setup to raise them.

Having been a technical writer, use of precise descriptive words are important. The ad said meat chickens, not baby chicks. My expectation was to see full grown birds.
Further, this quote "I’m looking to get $1.50 a bird. I also have frozen ones sealed in freezer bags for $2 lb".
It all struck me as funny. I read it literally. No offense was intended to anyone or about a profession. Lighten up.
