HIgh temp thread sealer

Not tractor related, but I am looking for a good high temp thread sealer. I am using it for the threads on a intake manifold nipple that screws into one of the cylinders on my Indian motorcycle. It will never need to be removed. Someone may have good produce they have used. Thanks, Stan

I use Permatex thread sealant. Advance carries it here.

Not tried it for your application, but William Harvey "TFE Paste" pipe joint compound is rated up to 400 F for gases, and has worked well for me in a number of off-label machinery applications. Many Ace Hardware stores sell Harvey TFE Paste, in small tubes and is small brush-top cans.

Another thought . . . there are nickel-filled PTFE tapes that would be worth considering.

I also use the Permatex High Temperature thread sealant on the Panhead and my truck and tractor, no complaints. I think most auto part stores should carry it.

Look up "Rocksett"
Good for 1500 degrees
removable like blue loctite
