Tedding Hay w-Bald Eagle Watching

Haven't had any eagles supervising, but not uncommon to have a vulture or two circling. Kind of catches you off guard when there is a shadow floating by near the tractor you're running.

He's watching for you to round him up some dinner.

I like my tedder, but it sure is hard on wildlife. I kill several box turtles every season, and it's not unusual to kill a kingsnake or two.

I have a couple red tailed hawks supervising me at two of my fields. They are not bashful about calling a halt to the operation when they see something appetizing.

He came from behind and landed right in front of me. My tedder has never killed any wild life. Only the mower and baler

You may have killed an animal when you mowed the hay. Saw one in our field this year eating something that was killed by the mower.

Many times I would have a Cooper's Hawk follow me while raking. When the sun would get just right I could see his shadow. Every once in awhile a field rat would take off and duck under a WW. Next lap the BOP was picking up his meal. They'd fly off to the top of a dead tree or on top of a tall fence plst and have their dinner.
