Weight of Woods 208 3 pt.

Hi all, have a chance to buy a Woods 208 mower with the 3 point hitch, can anyone tell me how much this mower weighs? Planning on putting it on a Farmall 450 diesel, narrow front, will it be too heavy for this tractor? Would rather have a pull behind, but, none for sale locally.

A Farmall 450D's hydraulics will pick up a 3-point 4 bottom plow without even knowing that it's there. It will definitely lift any 3-point single blade mower you might to hook it up to.

Ok, Woods 208 - two spindles, 4 blades 8ft. wide deck. Look at the weights in the first answer to my post, this is the 3 pt. mount not the pull behind.

Thank you, this is pretty much what I was looking for, a little too big for my tractor, I think I'll keep looking.

Their a little heavy. When using 3pt on the a tired Ford 3000 gas tractor, the front wants to go up, our Ford 6610 is lighter steering. I ended up using mine like a 2 pt with a hydraulic cylinder. I pulled off the rear end of a woods 208-2. Independent pto makes life easier.

That's about what I thought, the mower I'm considering looks just like yours, I just looked on
Tractordata, both of your fords are heavier than my 450, and mine is the tricycle front, lighter yet, I
do however have an IH 656 (currently not running, just got a radiator for, then see what else is wrong
with it) that would handle the mower very well.
