i have come to the conclusion these felpro gaskets are junk. i did the head on my 660 3 years ago and the compression is leaking right
through the gasket on the left side.i sprayed a soap mixture and she is a bubbling out side, and i have small bubbles in rad. enought to make it foamy. i even retorqued the head yesterday as a last
attempt before tear dowm. and the other thing is how can a head gasket be over 200.00 and not do its job! i will be looking for victor gasket
now. all this old stuff has just got priced out of reason.

was the head and block true for some reason seeing a lot of blocks that are way of but then after 30 to 60 years old that might be the reason

the head had been resurfaced. the block was flat . i am not new to these engines either. and am very particular putting them together with the 3 stage torquing and retorque after running. also know about the sleeve stand up .all was checked. i am interested in something i might be missing here. i also know these head gaskets are not what they used to be. and this is the weak point on these engines.

I plum refuse to use Fel Pro . Same issue even on the gassers on a fresh head job on a GOOD flat Block . I pay the extra and use only The OEM line of Victor . I get them thru the jobber outlet i get my engine parts from

How do I know when I am getting the OEM line of victor gaskets? Or would all victor gaskets be considered OEM? Seems gaskets I have been getting from this site and Napa have been fel pro. Thanks, Mike
