Almost rained out and a few breakdowns but able to get a few photos. Thought some of you will like the Detroit’s.

Show crop, Not intending to muddle your head with thoughts
of blue tractors with Detroit’s! But rest assured the blue ones
are far from stock. Genesis as in the beginning comes to
mind.

Welding man, Owner told me he built it from parts he had laying around. Chevy truck frame 5.9 Cummins and a radiator out of a JD combine. He owns the Massey Harris 98 and I believe he worked on the buzzen dozen John Deere in the photo.

Nice tractors. Was the second Oliver a 2255 with a gm transplant ? Can’t tell from the pic. There was a guy posting here that was building the “buzzin dozen” but I thought it was an Oliver. Just askin ! Where are you at ? Looks like ny southern tier country !

300jk, , 2255 has a cat engine not original to tractor. The first photo of the 1655 that was a parts machine they pieced back together. Pull was near Oneonta N.Y. on route 23. Some semis and superstocks pulled as well. It was a peaceful protest tractor pull .

Nice ! The 2255 came with a cat engine from the factory. Did it just have a non original engine ? Early models had a 3150 and the laters had a 3208. But all were cat v-8’s. The 1655 is nice too ! Have the original 283 in it ? Looks strong ! Haven’t been to one pull or show this year. Usually around Labor Day weekend there is a big show close to here with pulls put on by the Wny gas and steam association in Alexander. Haven’t heard for sure, but I don’t think it’s happening. Sad.

Are we talking about "SCREAMIN' JIMMIEs" two stroke detroits.didn't some of those Ollies and Massey's come stock with them.where they 4-71s?I thought thats what they were anyways, not sure.

Rock, Yes Oliver had the 99,990, 995 lugomatic, 1900 and 1950 with screaming jimmies. The Massey was an Oliver 99 with different shear metal.

300jk neither the 2255 or the 1655 have original engine. The 1655 had a 283 but was out of a piece of industrial equipment. Slightly different than the Oliver 283 can’t remember exactly what was different. Ginirich built it for them not sure I spelled his name right.

ok,thank you for clearing that up for me.those are a nice bunch of machines.I had almost bought a 68' white 4000 wrecker with a 6-71,and the seller trailered it to my house, and we went to drive it off, then the clutch went out on the trailer,so he took it back.I have always been fascinated by those two strokes.

Greg, I saw a puller going east on I88. Wondered where he was headed. I hadn't heard anything at all about a pull in the area. How was it publicized, if at all?

Bill, It was on book face. In 2012 I drove my tractor over there and won in the 7500 lb class. Got stomped in the 8500 close to last but fun anyway. Haven’t pulled since.
