Rain!!

After about 6 weeks of no measurable rain and 19 consecutive days of 100(+) temps we've gotten a pretty good rain. About 3/4 in. The last "cone of uncertainty" for the tropical depression headed for Texas has us right in the middle so we hopefully will get more. Don't need a hurricane, just the rain part.
 
The rain has brought an added benefit, the temperature has been in the high 60's all morning. Hard to believe.
 
I hope the rain makes it as far north as I am. Aug here has been a record setting dry month this year plus one of the coolest Aug. on record. We are a good 2 plus inch behind on rain for the month
 
We are cool here also with cool temps expected for the next 10 days.
Wet and cool.

I was on the phone with a friend near Shiner and it had just started about 9 am. He said he was really dry - about to start feeding the cows hay.
 
Our cool has headed your way. In the 90s today and humid. Was just out trying to put a tire and rim on the S88 and I have to modify the modification of some one else before it will fit. Some one welded on extra tabs which I have to grind off so the rim will fit
 
We are going to get wet....maybe twice. I grew up on the TX. coast and went through hurricanes. Every spring the streets flooded non hurricane. "If you can't stand the heat in the kitchen get out" I couldn't and did. No regrets.
 
Sorry James, I was on the phone with a friend from elementary thru high school for over 2 hours. We hadn't seen to talked to each other in 4 years. Anyway then the phone was dead and I put it on the charger and haven't looked at it. I was outside most of the day after that. I'll check the message. We got 0.9 but the ground is already dry. I was taking the rear weights off the 2N axle that was on the 8N and am trying to figure out how to mount them on my MF 50 with power adjust rims. I think I have a plan but those suckers are heavy.
