I will never love that Massey. But found an old condenser in the barn and swapped it out. Fired it right up. Grrrrrr. Thanks for the help on this. 7.5 hours today. Even made it to church for an hour. 2 hours out there before church. The rest this afternoon. All the tractors I've owned and it's a first for a condenser to crap out...... But by golly that carb is clean!!!!

Don't look back on it for another minute. It's over.... The tractor is running like a clock. Tomorrow is a new day with new adventures. Wingnut

That is why I DO NOT replace condensers any more. Now days you stand a good chance the new condenser is bad right out of the box. Been at least a decade if not 2 since I replaced a condenser

I second what OLD says... But if you do replace a condensor put the old one in the toolbox not the trash can... you will need it shortly..

Agreed! Won't waste my time with the new junk. When I buy mag, generator, distributor parts, it's by the part number.... in the original box. Just scored a nice shiny cap for the distributor on my H from eBay. Box looks to be late 50's.

My 140 would not fire when I attempted to waken it for garden chores this past spring. An old, used condenser fixed it.

Hmmmmmmm bad condensor,,,,,,,, that was my SECOND choice below lol regardless Ive still found more bad points then condensors as the problem ...

"If its not firing, the problem could be.........Points,,,,,,Condensor,,,,,,Coil fails after warm up,,,,,,,,,Distributor problem,,,,,,,,,Dist cap or rotor problem"

Congratulations and thanks for the update
