I have an old David Bradley disc harrow and curious how much it weighs (want to figure out how much weight is on each disc). The tag says its a model 917 5434 but I can't find anything about it on the web. It has two gangs and a total of 20 discs. Anyone have specs for this thing.

Many thanks.

Those old disks were designed as a middle finishing tool, and were (usually) weighted with heavy things placed in the bins on the top of the gangs. I
don't know why you need to know the weight per single disk, but I can tell you that wear and rust will cause each implement to change weight. To
actually find out, load it up and take it to a Cat certified scale to get a ticket. Unload it and take the vehicle back to get an empty weight.
Subtract.
The usefulness in the field is a combination of angle of the gangs related to the direction of travel, the sharpness of the blade edges, the type and
moisture content of the soil, and the weight + added ballast. Good luck with the calculations Jim
