And if Grandpa Love is smart, he will save his money. I had a 542 Ford years ago. I would never own another one. They are as useless as a 280 Hesston swather.

I don't know anything about Ford bailers. New Holland is mostly the dominant brand here with John Deere and Agco/Hesston second.

We had one for many years, pretty reliable, not high capacity, but did the amount of hay we needed. It had a thrower on it, that eventually came off, was problematic. He's way better off with the 315 NH, ran one of those for years, pretty good baler.

Oh, it was an ok baler, just didn't want to be in a hurry to get anything baled. I prefer John Deere balers.
