Tractor light

One of the lights on my 880 had the bottom broke by the bolt. I straightened it some and brazed it and painted it. The bulb is one I’ve never seen before. Looks like a sealed beam, but has a metal ring around the outside of the bulb. What do I replace it with?? Thanks, Chris

The ring around the outside doesn’t have a split in it, looks solid all the way around it.

That is an early sealed beam, if it works use it. Think both 6 and 12 volt were made like that.

Yes and the sealed beam headlights from dual headlights used on cars years ago that were the 5 1/2" size will fit in a 5 1/2" tractor light. I did that. Light pattern is a bit different but works if system is 12 volts.

Since you say it doesn't work I would be inclined to possibly remove the stem and see about re-lamping with LED. Could stay in the 5000k range if you want to keep the yellow cast of the beam.
