Wisconsin Engine.....

My swather is broken- did finally get belts put on after 10 days of work; the engine needs a head; used if possible; gaskets are plentiful; I have looked and I can not find a used head for a Wisconsin VG4D...anyone have one stored they would sell me? Thanks.
 
I just saw an ad on Cincinnati Craigslist in the farm and garden section, for a Wisconsin engine and (4?) heads. Good luck, Mark.

I think he deals in new and used . Never dealt with him but his name pops up fairly often. I think he sells on ebay also.
 
on that VG4D this engine has the head with valves in it and the piston cylinder. If my memory is right. I have one of these on my I.H. skid steer loader. these cylinders can be re sleeved. If you find the right machine shop. There are at least two different types of these engine in design. Just like the other V-4 Wisconsin engines. I had to learn this when I was rebuilding my VG4D engine. Make Shure you get the right one. I might have some top cinder head peace's but I am going to have to look to see if I still have them.
 
do you need a head or the block? valves are in the block. on those engines the spark plug holes like to seize and strip when removing plugs. i sold my complete engine couple years ago.
