tractor heater

I have a little blower/heater on the dash to keep the fog off the windshield of my JD Gator. It is tiny, if you can imagine how few amps the Gator engine can provide through the cig. lighter socket. [This is a bottom of the line, air cooled Gator]

I used to have a wreck of a big old Steiger tractor. I had no window fogging trouble, but my feet would get cold. I put a 12V heater under the seat, blowing at my feet. It helped.

You can get self contained after market hot water units that mount on the floor, then add a fan by the windshield and you will be good.

Put a small 12 volt fan on the right side of cab up high that can be turned either front or back.. I had one in my JD 4430.. Worked great..

Yes and no they don’t not the little square one’s from the auto parts place anyway . You’d better off to eat a can of hormel chili before crawling in the cab

It takes a lot of BTU's to heat glass, which converts to amps on electric. 1200 watts which is not uncommon on a hair dryer is 100 amps at 12V. My new truck has an electric supplemental heater which works quite well, but it has a 400 amp alternator.

Here’s some heaters that would work

I had one of those 30k BTU outfits but it only had two duct outlets.

Put it in the back of a 1975 CJ5 with soft top. Was my daily driver for a few years in the winters of Michigan.
Still had to wait for hot water but after that it was able to keep you warm when 20 below.
Un like the oem heater that was pathetically inadequate.

I tried one of those little ones in our 4320 once and it was worthless you could light a match and get more heat out of it
