neutral saftey switch

A customers FORD 1910 will not start unless one jiggles the shifter. I think it is the neutral safety switch and the picture shows where I think it is. My question is, does removing the little cover allow access to the switch? Have to work on it next week so just trying to figure out a bit in advance.

You will need to remove the shift cover to access the switch, item number 20 in the diagram.

The one in my 6610 was real bad, replaced it a few years ago, needs wiggle now and then now. I do not believe it is a good design embedding them in the transmission, but that is the way it is.
