Dieseltec,Did you see my post about the tractor drive in Wimamac August 1st? leave 8 Am same place as last year. 45 miles. Your Ford looks great! email open, joe

Rich I'm not sure that qualifies for being a tractor, but on the other hand it might be an X rated UDLX . Friend of mine got pulled over by a local cop for doing 40 MPH on his Worthington in a 25 MPH zone. The little cop told he he had a mind to arrest him for lying to a police officer. He knew that thing wasn't a tractor and if he didn't produce a license and registration for it he was going to impound it and take him to jail. Friend told him to go ahead but he would have his day in court. Finally the little cop gave in and let him go but told hime not to have that thing back in his town again. Don't get a speeding ticket.

I'm planning on driving to the Winamac drive again like last year. Just got home today from a four day Wisconsin ride, 418.5 miles total. Crazy thing got 25.36 MPG over the four day drive in the Wisconsin hills. I knew it would be better than the 560, but surprised it did that well. About a month ago I drove it to an Illinois ride pulling a 17 foot camper, it got 18 MPG going 32 MPH on that trip. It will run 38 wide open in ninth gear on the SOS transmission, have not tried tenth yet. Just turned over 2100 miles total so far.
Got some bad news this week too, the September Mackinac Tractor crossing is cancelled this year. Five other friends and I were planning on driving an approximate 1200 mile round trip. Hopefully next year...

Lewis, the question I can't seem to get answered, lots of newer tractors will go over 30, JD,MF,JCB, etc. I have stop/turn/tail lights, electric trailer brake control also. Question is what is the speed limit for SMV signs anymore? Most drives I go on are 12-20 MPH range. I can stay at 25 MPH no problem, engine is only 1450 at that speed..

The new stuff that goes faster than 25 with an SMV have another sticker with the max speed. It is the number inside a circle. About 6” in diameter.

I’ve been known to be wrong before but I believe the smv emblem needs to be displayed on farm tractors and implements traveling up to 35 mph. My 8120 and 8630 4wd will run 26 and 23 mph respectively.
Also I admire the creativity with your tractor. I can imagine a crowd gathered around it at every stop.
