2nd cutting and double crop

Second cutting of Alfalfa got cut and baled over the weekend and fertilizer spread yesterday evening. Ran down to other place today, when the wheat came off straw baled and beans went in and there up!

Dod you get any rain over the weekend? We got 1.25 Saturday night. Thursday afternoon a storm rolled thru and flattened some corn and rolled a pivot. We may be looking for a corn head reel!

I think it was Saturday 4 tenths, one late Sunday went East of us but did have a little less than 1/2" about 5-6 days earlier. I was surprised to see beans up but I think they had a little rain before the wheat was ran.

It works when you get the right amount of rain. Too much or too little and naturally nothing works. I have taken hay, then planted corn many times in the past. I didn’t do that this year, and those that did, wasted their time. I will plant some rye on wheat stubble in a week or two, and make it into hay by October, if it rains.
