What is the PTO HP on a Ford 901? Do they have LPTO?

901 is the SERIES; you need to know the particular MODEL to know whether or not it has live PTO.

941 is four-speed and does not have live PTO
951 is five-speed and does not have live PTO
961 is five-speed and HAS live PTO
971 is SOS and has independent PTO
981 is SOS with two-speed independent PTO

I think the 901 series delivers around 40 hp to the PTO.

We had a 801 same engine, Took it to a dyno once after working on pump. It had over 50

NE Test 654: Ford 851 diesel, 06/02-06/11 1958. 41.98 max PTO HP.

Same engine as 9** diesel tractors.

Gasoline about 5-6 more PTO HP.

on the earlier 860 series.. claimed pto hp was 40,, tested pto hp was 45.41. Would appear that ford was a bit modest in the claimed hp.

Dean and Marks have given you accurate information, I will add that if it has selectospeed transmission it would have independent live pto and with manual transmission it could have live pto by a 2 stage foot clutch.
