Dry farm triticale today turned out to be a nice crop I drilled it last fall after we had 18 below zero the middle of October I wasn’t sure if it was going to grow or not but it did . I put fertilizer on this spring and sprayed weeds with all the rain we’ve had I may get a second crop again this year. I’m thinking after I cut what comes the second time I’ll come in with some roundup and burn it down before fall planting.

I use it for feed I’ll bale it and feed through the winter . I was going to cut it earlier but I’m glad I didn’t that ten percent chance of rain turned into a 2 incher the extra tonnage will be nice anyway
What is triticale

Thanks for the link! It provides me with a good base of information about the crop and an understanding of how you guys use it.

I’m not sure ? Haven’t heard anything about the needle safety latch and pin yet but it usually takes about ten days for this stuff to dry so with any luck it’ll be running
