Allis front end fix

Allis had a problem. This is the fix this owner came up with. Note how the Grade 5
screw heads are welded to keep them tight. Also looks like they cut one extension too short,
but fixed it. Later factory design had four cap screws.

Nice fix. I'm often surprised at how some people can break things. My cousin still has our grandfathers 1950 WD, and it has no such troubles. It even had a loader on it for years.

On late WD-45s AC came out with a larger than the 3 bolt bracket shown in the picture. Think it had 4 bolts and they were spread out more than the original too. Looks like a good fix and nice welding. I believe the original 3 bolt was only a problem if you had a lot of extra front end weight as in a loader and worked it hard.
