Case DC pilot bearing supposed to be sealed?

Good morning,
is the Case DC pilot bearing supposed to be sealed on one side?
I removed a New Departure 3205 with a shield on one side and it appears to have been a shielded bearing only, not sealed.

I would have expected it to be sealed on the clutch side so the oil goes through the input shaft to the throw out bearing.

Please let me know.

I think they are wet. I was wondering about the seal so there would be enough pressure to go through the input shaft.
 
Good evening,
Oil will get in the bellhousing whether it is sealed or not because of the oil passage in the input shaft.
I am wondering if anyone knows if the bearing is supposed to be sealed or just shielded.
If it is just shielded then I wonder how the oil is getting to the throw out yolk?
maybe just a small amout.
