Connecting rod from super a to super c.

Hello everyone: I have a super c engine that I'm going to need parts for. I also have parts from a super a engine. Is it okay to use a connecting rod from the super a in the super c? I notice it's a little longer at the top end.
Thanks for your help.

if you are noticing a difference it cant work. you need the centre of wrist pin to centre of crank measurement. , plus each has to be the
same weight. look at the part #'s on each one, if diff. then no.

What do you mean by longer at the top end? If the casting number is the same, use it.
Just make sure the pin is not too loose. Also the big end should be checked too.

Unless your Super A engine is from one of
the last 500 or so Super A's made, it's
engine does not have the same cubic inch
engine as a Super C engine has. In my
opinion, it may not have the same rods
internally, even though the two are the
same basic design. Check the rod's part
# to make sure.

Your connecting rods need to go to an automotive machine shop, anyway, to be check for straightness, large bore shape and size, and to have new pin bushings fitted. Take the "odd" rod along and have them confirm it it's fits, or not.
