I have two 9N's one has skinny tires with a wide bolt pattern and the other which I use all the time and need new tires for has a smaller bolt pattern and wider three ribbed tires. I have search online for replacements and found them on Ebay for two for 114.00 with free shipping but it eluded they were 400 by 19 and when I measured across the diameter of the rim it looks more like 17 ......Direction anyone?

Ford used two different sizes on the 8N
most common was the skinny 4x19
Mine has the optional 6x16 or 6.50 x16 which was used if you have a front end loader

The rim diameter measured as a diameter of the outside to outside of the metal that can be seen, is going to be bigger than the rim size by as
much as an inch and a quarter. This creates a solid foundation for using 16 inch tires at 6.00 or 6.5 X 16 on yours. Jim

Okay, you're not clear here, are you looking for replacements for the tall skinny tires or the shorter wider tires?

It kinda sounds like you're looking for the shorter wider tires. The size should be molded right into the sides of the tires.

4.00-19 is the tall skinny tire stock for a 9N. Your other 9N either isn't a 9N or has had the front end off an 8N installed on it. These have 6.00-16 front tires, which sounds like what you're looking for.

The 9N tracturs came with a 4:00x19" front tire on a large diameter hub. In about 1946 a 16" rim became avaible to bolt on as a replacement for the 19" tire for better handling with a 6:00x16" tire and a rim is always measured where the bead of a tire sets. The 8N always had a small diameter hub and could have been gotten with both 19" or 16" rims but they could be interchanged to a 9N tractor with no other changes. The 16" rim to fit the large hub (n is a hard to find rim and I don't know if they are even made now.

Anybody know who has the best price on the 6 or 650x16 tire? I found them for 114 for two on Ebay
