Was the camera on your chest? I'd prefer to see the road or fields rather than the center of the steering wheel.

You are right Ron. Not the best camera view for driving but it sure beats climbing a bin ladder with one hand.

I am really hoping I can sell that grain before bugs become a problem. The spring threshed stuff is dry but they don't want to buy it unless it is cleaned.
 
interesting video. You had me feeling loopy when you were swinging around on the top of the full bin. (I used to climb my Dad's 24x60 silo like a monkey- not any more.)
what are the 2 vertical levers that look like lollypops, each side of the steering column, for? We had a '54 Ford but I don't remember any controls like that.
 
Heater controls, and maybe something else. Everybody else just had boring slide controls in the dash, and Merc controls were a high point of the car- everybody wished they had them.
 
Been away on the sprayer all day and just reading replies now while supper is cooking tonight. Long day's work. 2 and a half tanks or about 220 acres of canola. About 30 miles of road driving took up a couple of hours. It was the first decent day in a week. Still cool but not too windy and then sun came out for a good part of the day.
Yes, those are heater, vent, blower controls on the Merc's dash. Unique to 52 and 53 although I think the 54 had something kind of similar.
