3308 brushhog

I have a new 3308 brushhog pull type brushhog brand it mows great 8 ft cut but it tends to throw small cut up pieces toward the back of the tractor not a lot but enough to make a mess over the whole rear area of the tractor while mowing making a mess it has chains across the front but the rest of it is enclosed. Do I not have the angle right it sets just a little lower in the front than in the rear any suggestions or is it the nature of the beast thanks Rick

You can get double chains for the front and that should really help. I just bought a 12215 at work with double chains all around because I would be mowing a lot next to traffic and hardly anything gets on the tractor

I have had several rough cut mowers with F & R chains and have had the same complaint as you have.

I have removed the front chains on all of my mowers (except the BW) and installed the standard belt shielding on the front (only).

MUCH less debris on the rear of the tractor now.

That's nothing, I've had piles over the pto shaft by the time I finished a 10 hour job with mine....brush it off and move on. I have to clean off my Hog everytime I load up for another job. The one I use on my open station tractor isn't as bad as the cab tractor. Seens the cab creates some kind of suction that draws the chaff to it. The 5525 Deere I had for a couple months was terrible, had to get off and clean the back window every couple of hours. I run mounted 3008 Hogs in my mowing business.
