Gotta buy more tractors

I'm gonna have to buy some more tractors. I sold the last 8N I had yesterday evening and I didn't realize it but I'm down to 6 tractors now. I have to admit it, I just don't feel like working on them anymore cause it's getting harder and harder to walk and I don't know why. The pain I and the Dr. thought was in my hips and knees I believe is in the muscles. My thighs and calves hurt constantly and I have not been able to sleep in bed for the past couple of months. I have a video conference with her today at 10:00 to discuss it. I really haven't been looking for any tractors lately but darn, the herd is getting small. If I don't find out something today, I might just have to keep what I have and not buy any more.

she hasn't checked for anything yet, just gave me some Tramadol and Tylenol which is not doing anything at all except easing some of it a little.

I know what you're going through. I have the same thing except you can add shoulders and that I always feel like I haven't been to bed for about two days. Thinking about selling my whole herd next year. Good Luck!

Keith, I had hip replacements in 2010 and 2011. The last three years I have been getting groin pain, first one side then both, that's gotten progressively worse. Over the winter I just got so sick of the constant pain I decided to do something. Surgeon was telling me the hips were OK so thinking it's lower back I saw another doc. He referred me to a spine specialist from a different practice. She reviewed the MRI and X-rays and spotted possible loosening of the joints on both sides. So back to the surgeon who ordered a metal elimination CT scan and blood ion test. My replacements were metal on metal type with chromium ball and a cobalt liner. Chromium level was within limits but the cobalt was 12 and should be less than 1. Had the first one replaced on 6-8 and I'll see how it goes but the other side will need it someday soon. My point is if your doctor can't figure it out get another opinion. There are lots of good orthopedic surgeons and just having another set of eyes on it may be the key. Ever have a devil of a time figuring out some mechanical problem on one of your machines? A suggestion from someone else that may sound impossible can be the problem. I think it's the same with doctors. Post back when you find out.

Same boat, but Ive known it was coming. Im down to 5. Ill keep them since one was Dads, one my great gramps, and the other 3 earn their keep. The boys will get on the smaller tractors, but not the M, or the F14 since they cant crank it, and the M scares them. Well ,the oldest will get on it and rive it around the field, but is scraed to death of the Bushhog so he wont do any kind of work like that, and I dont want him to to be honest.

I found Aleve(naproxen sodium) did more for pain than the Tramadol did when I fell from a ladder and messed up my shoulder and arm.

Are you taking any statin drugs for high colestrol? Had to switch three different times to stop the leg pain.

Sounds like your in about the same shape as me, bad pain in lower back followed by feeling like legs slowly feeling hot and pressurized down to my knees. Spine center says I have some bad discs but nothing pinched. They took me off my cholesterol pills for three weeks with no change. Then a ankle/brachial index test says I might have a circulation problem. Now I'm waiting for a vascular surgeon appt: July first.

I still think it's muscle related because of that cholesterol medicine for twenty years or more.
