Looking for a tractor to put my 9ft New
Holland 451 sickle mower on and leave it.
Will this do the job? Price is good. Not
far from home....... Wife likes it ( she
actually found the listing and had me ask
y'all) sounds like a possible win
win..... What says the group?

I agree with DeltaRed. It's only 26 HP and would be more like using an 8N to do your mowing. I would not want anything smaller than a 600 Ford. And you know how to use a Ford and how to work on one and can get most any part you want/need for a Ford.

Your wife likes it??? Happy wife, happy life!!! Buy it and try it, if it doesn't work out, it can be your wife's tractor. If Mama ain't happy, nobody is gonna be happy!!

I think you would be happier with a little bigger tractor with live pto, but that is a nice collectable tractor. Try climbing on/off it a couple times, not as easy as your fords.

That tractor is too light weight for a 9 foot sickle bar mower. The sickle bar will pull the tractor sideways. That tractor would perform quite well with a 5 foot mower.

That's a good price if it runs out good. Mine weighs 2940 with me on it. It's a tricycle front and has one set of wheel weights on it. Mine has no three point. They are a fairly gutsy little tractor, at 27 PTO horsepower. But they might be a little light for a 9 foot mower. There is only about 750 to 800 pounds resting on the front wheels (tricycle front). You might need to weight the front end a little to counter a 9 foot mower.
